Vanessa Hollander, one half of the photography duo Wiissa, shares some recent work

We took this photo on the set of our short film, “Midnight Ramblers,” which follows a few groupies around New York City for a week. Michelle’s groupie alter ego was Mimi Fox.
Amanda’s been one of my best friends since third grade, and this photo shoot felt like one of our old sleepovers. We compiled a bunch of our clothes and made a bunch of crazy outfits, and I sprinkled glitter across her eyelids.

This is a still from “Midnight Ramblers.” We recreated a groupie’s bedroom, so we printed a bunch of photos of our favorite musicians—they’re not all actually from the ‘60s and ‘70s. We threw a few photos of The Strokes and The Libertines into the Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, and Jimi Hendrix mix! That big Jimi poster in the middle is a vintage poster from the ‘70s that we borrowed from our friend Chloe at Stoned Immaculate Clothing.
Still from Kali Uchis’s “Rush” music video
We shot this video in L.A. with Kali Uchis, and it all kind of came together pretty last minute. We had some super nice guys lend us these cars for the shoot—they met us out in the desert. Kali is a little loca, with no fear, so she suggested getting some shots of her riding on the hood of the car, “Death Proof”-style.
